Sam Portillo, one of our organizers, will be giving a talk on web scraping in Python.
Sam is a Data Engineer on an event aggregation project that acquires all data via web scraping in Python. The talk will be focused primarily the Python package BeautifulSoup, but will acknowledge other scraping methods as well.
Sam will provide examples and guidance for real world applications for web scraping projects that any Python programmer can do.
Computers are not required to follow along with this lecture, all of the slides and code will be available on GitHub after the presentation
