Information Technology Manager

Smart Resources is looking for an Information Technology Manager to manage all aspects of the Information Technology department for a Richmond-based client.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Next Generation and maintain current product line of in-house developed applications using C#, ASP .Net, and .Net Framework throughout the whole Software Engineering process
  • SQA Development of Test Case, Test Script, Automated and Repeatable Test Suite, and Performance Bench Marker
  • Internal and external new project development and management through PM/SE life cycle, including: requirement, design, development, testing, training, deployment, and sustaining
  • Coordinate with colleagues in other locations on software applications to ensure that delivered systems meet the highest quality standard
  • All IT and Systems Engineering department related activities along with overall plant IT/Systems strategy and direction to ensure complete compliance to customer’s systems requirements
  • Manage, develop, and implement a variety of projects that will meet individual department needs
  • Manage short-term and long-term information technology equipment capacity for customer
  • Create process and procedure documentation for information technology teams
  • Prepare budgets and develop a strategy for improving productivity
  • Conduct performance reviews for employees
  • Develop training materials using internal and external resources
  • Work effectively with other management team members to address all facets of the information technology area
  • Provide support to other departments as necessary, such as trouble-shooting, problem solving, and IT related support for internal and external customer Business Continuity Plan
  • Expertise and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ERP/B2B

 

Background Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in an information technology or business setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Systems related field

 

Skills:

    • Knowledge of Client/Server and/or Multi-Tier System Architecture
    • Knowledge of Software Engineering methodology and life-cycle
    • Strong and effective communication skills with colleagues at all levels
    • Proficiency using a computer and accounting related software
    • Creative problem-solving and analytical abilities
    • Ability and willingness to work some irregular hours, as determined by business needs
    • Ability to organize and manage diverse work assignments simultaneously and independently
    • Excellent reading, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Comfortability with dynamic and rapid growth work environment
