Smart Resources Looks Forward to Richmond Engineering Career Fair

Did you know that 80% of open jobs aren’t shared with the public? Connecting with top Richmond employers may seem straight-forward on the surface, but for inexperienced college grads entering the real-world, it can be a complicated process. For this reason, the Smart Resources team is attending the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Engineering Internship and Career Fair.

This event is an avenue for graduating engineers to explore potential career opportunities and interact with employers face-to-face. Students are seeking both internships and full-time post-graduate career opportunities. As a liaison between organizations and emerging professionals, the Smart team can assist engineering talent in finding the perfect role to kick-start their career.

The annual event will be held on Wednesday, February 13th from 10 AM to 3 PM. The fair will be located in VCU’s Snead Hall Atrium and Qimonda Atrium at 401 West Main Street, Richmond, Virginia. In addition to meeting top engineering graduates, from various disciplines, including Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Mechanical & Nuclear Engineering, Smart will also have the opportunity to preform interviews on the VCU campus the day after the career fair.

The Smart leadership team is extremely involved in the Richmond community and attends events like the VCU School of Engineering Career Fair as often as possible. At the tail end of 2018, the team operated a booth at the RVA Career Expo, joining more than 100 companies seeking Richmond-area talent.
